Vital to the success of our organization, in-kind donations keep costs down for our programs by providing basic needs items such as food, clothing, toiletries, cleaning supplies, bedding, and more.

Last year at The Light House:

Community members in need visited our food pantry over 2,000 times.
We served over 86,000 healthy meals.
We distributed thousands of vital basic needs items.

At this time, we are only able to accept the items listed on our website and through our seasonal donation drives. Thank you for your support!

HOLIDAY GIFT DRIVE

Put a smile on our residents’ faces by donating a children’s gift, holiday stocking, care and comfort item, or gift card this holiday season!

Your support helps ensure that the individuals and families who walk through our door are able to share in the holiday joy.

UNBAGGED LUNCHES

We distribute UNbagged lunches to our residents and community clients who are in need of food. Unbagged lunches are available at any time for anyone who comes to our doors hungry.

SHARE THE WARMTH CLOTHING DRIVE

Help provide warm clothing for our residents and community clients during these cold winter months.

Urgent Needs

DROP OFF GUIDELINES: The following Urgent Needs items can be delivered to our 10 Hudson Street, Annapolis location, 9:00am – 6:00pm.

PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to accept foods that are expired, in dented cans, or in opened packaging. We also prefer plastic containers to glass when possible.

DONATION PROCEDURES

Please do not leave items outside the doors
We are more than happy to accept used clothing (except for underwear and undershirts); we ask that it is in good shape, clean, and free of tears and holes.
We are only able to accept the clothing items listed on our website at the designated drop-off days/times.
We are not in need of suits, ties, or dressy items.
If you have other clothing donations, please consider donating to other organizations in our area that can accept these donations.

SEPTEMBER SUDS DRIVE

The Light House provides free laundry and shower facilities to our shelter residents and to community clients in our Safe Harbour Resource Center. That amounts to over 150 loads of laundry and over 400 showers per week!
