A message from The Light House Board of Directors

The Light House Homeless Prevention Support Center Board of Directors is pleased to announce that we are initiating a national search for a permanent Executive Director.

We would like to extend our utmost appreciation to Development Director Jenny Crawford, who in January of 2024 stepped forward to serve as Interim Executive Director. Ms. Crawford’s commitment to The Light House has been exceptional over her eight-year tenure. This has been particularly true during the past year, with her steady guidance to our staff amid challenging circumstances while continuing to grow The Light House programmatically and financially. As a result of Ms. Crawford’s steadfast leadership, The Light House has expanded critical services to a growing number of vulnerable neighbors while working in partnership with our generous community to sustain the private funding that supports our mission. These efforts have allowed The Light House to remain nimble and creative in breaking the cycle of homelessness for so many.

It is the goal of The Light House Board of Directors that the new Executive Director will bring complimentary talents to an already strong leadership team. Ms. Crawford has ultimately decided to not move her candidacy forward, so that she may instead focus on family and the needs of her two young children; however, she will continue as Interim Executive Director until a successor is named. The Board again expresses their heartfelt gratitude for her dedication and for her leadership in sustaining the mission of The Light House in the face of an ever-changing world.
