Thank you to the EWE Spirit Foundation for supporting The Light House through their EWE Spirit Cup! This Annual Sailing Club of the Chesapeake Spring Race is held each year to honor the legacy of Geoff Ewenson.

For months leading up to this event, EWE encouraged all their sailors and friends to raise funds in order to make a positive impact on our community. Their amazing efforts raised over $35,000 dollars for local nonprofits and we are honored that they chose The Light House as one of their beneficiaries.

After the race, EWE hosted a “Vans and Stepping Out shirts” party at Horn Point Marina as a tribute to Geoff’s favorite attire. At this after party, EWE presented a $10,000 donation to The Light House which was accepted by our very own Light House Major Gifts Officer, Mary Howser. This generous and thoughtful funding will go directly to our programs and services that provide homelessness prevention and support to our most vulnerable neighbors. We are deeply grateful to the EWE Spirit Foundation for their continued support as we work together to build a stronger community!
